Supporters Direct Scotland is a membership-based organisation. Membership is open to supporters’ groups that meet the following criteria:
SD Scotland has three forms of membership:
We are committed to keeping all of our work accessible and free to everyone and are therefore reliant and appreciative of those who are able to join and continue to make SD Scotland financially viable. The more people that join, the stronger we are.
Trust & community owned clubs and the fan representation movement is growing in influence, and a key part of that is through the ability to say that there are a multitude of organisations, working at different clubs with similar values, working to the same arrangements and pushing in the same direction, all under the umbrella of SD Scotland.
From the outset, we provide support and advice to an individual supporter or group of supporters who are interested in establishing a supporters’ trust. If we can help, we then provide support & help for meetings, paperwork and registration during its establishment.
As a full member we can provide you with ongoing strategic, tactical and campaigning advice, how to increase activists within the trust, and work in the local community. We also provide support for practical things like how to run the organisation.
Members also benefit from being part of a wider network of Clubs and Supporters Trusts that share similar ambitions and are willing to work together to achieve them, and members can nominate representatives to stand for election to the SD Scotland board.
The Scottish Supporters Network offers fans a platform to discuss important issues within the game and offer opportunities to influence real change within the game.
By joining, you will helping ensure the Scottish Supporters Network is a strong, organised and unified voice with the common aim of improving the game for supporters. You’ll be invited to participate in surveys and polls, and will be helping to make the network as representative as possible. Fans can be assured their views are represented through Supporters Direct Scotland’s work in association with the football authorities.
We believe that having a strong vibrant fans movement allows us to act as a focal point for any organisation to hear the views of Scottish football supporters.
