Supporters Direct Scotland research 2015

Artificial turf

Supporters Direct Scotland (SDS) is proud to announce that it has published its’ 2015 research papers.

Each year, SDS produces research papers on a range of issues in Scottish football. Last year saw such topics as disability access, women’s football and summer football explored. This year sees another six areas focused on; ‘Price of football’, ‘The future of fan ownership’, ‘Kick-off times and fixture rescheduling’, ‘Synthetic pitches’, ‘Impact of broadcasting on attendances’ and ‘The future of Scottish football as a commodity’.

We as an organisation are proud to be researching and further examining the role of supporters within the game in Scotland. In order to best assist supporters and aid their efforts, we believe it is essential to be constantly examining the game and supporters’ perceptions of its many elements.

If you have any suggestions for 2016’s research topics, please let us know, either at our Twitter account @ScottishFans, our Facebook page or e-mail us at
